The consumer product HR and talent network

The power of collective knowledge.

Benchmark, sense check, problem solve, and develop with 140+ HR, Talent and People professionals from other consumer product organisations.

Free until 1 January 2027 for members who join now.

Why members join

The only large networking group for consumer product HR and talent.

Members come from teams and remits of every size, so the forum gives you the ability to ask, compare and contrast.

  • Benchmark quickly and accurately

Ask the group and get real answers on what peers are doing, quickly and with real relevance.

  • Sense check big decisions

A sounding board before you commit. Put the question to people who have dealt with, or handled, the same challenges or indeed innovations.

  • An always-on community

Message each other or post a query at any time, and others respond when it suits them. Members also set up individual meetings and interest groups.

  • Built specifically for consumer

Only people professionals from consumer and FMCG businesses, so all content, communication and topics are relevant.

  • Ideas from across consumer

Transferable thinking from other parts of consumer: beauty learning from food and drink, personal care from electronics, not only from direct competitors.

  • Ahead of policy and regulation

Shared discussion on what is coming, such as pay transparency, the Employment Rights Act changes to probation periods and sexual harassment duties, or setting up entities abroad.

Benchmark against your peers

Market answers, straight from your peers.

Find out how other consumer businesses handle pay, benefits and policy, from the people who manage them.

  • Put a benchmarking question to 140+ HR, Talent and People peers
  • Run a quick poll to test an idea with the group
  • Run a member survey when an issue needs a fuller picture

Questions

Questions people ask.

Who can join the Consumer Talent Forum?

Current HR, Talent and People professionals working in consumer product and FMCG businesses: HR and People Directors, Heads of Talent, Talent Acquisition leads, and specialists in areas like reward, learning, employer brand and workforce planning. Suppliers, agencies and other functions are politely declined, which keeps every conversation relevant and peer level.

How much does membership cost?

£195 a month for your first named member and £95 a month for each additional named member from the same organisation, plus VAT, with no cap on numbers. Members who join now pay nothing until 1 January 2027.

How often are the sessions?

Regularly, online, with a guest practitioner from a consumer business followed by open discussion. Every session is recorded, so you can catch up on demand.

Are conversations confidential?

Yes. Three house rules protect that: members only, no discussion of unreleased products or launches, and no sharing of personal employee data or non-public information about products or people.

Is this a recruitment network?

No. The forum is hosted by The Advocate Group, a specialist consumer recruitment business, but it is built around members, insight and honest peer conversation, not recruitment sales.

What happens after I apply?

The team checks that the forum is the right fit, usually with a short call, then sends your invitation to the member platform.
